Biography
Dr. Hanzhe Teng is currently a research scientist at Field AI Research Institute (FAIRI), supervised by Dr. Ali-akbar Agha-mohammadi. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, where he was a member of the ARCS Lab, supervised by Prof. Konstantinos Karydis. During his PhD, Hanzhe had developed rich teaching experience (spanning from K-12 to college level and public audience), as well as internship experience in industry (with TuSimple in 2022). Prior to his PhD, Hanzhe obtained his B.Eng. degree (with honor) in Artificial Intelligence from the Xidian University in 2018.
His research interests generally lie in the intersection of robotics and computer vision, including but not limited to autonomous navigation, exploration, SLAM, motion planning, UAVs, multi-modal perception, active perception, point cloud registration and 3D reconstruction.
